The whole thing was so unpleasant, I hope it was only one person! I was also there during media hour so with any luck they were rotated out, or at least, you know, learned what the controls were and how to explain them.

I enjoyed the game once I was allowed to, and wasn't spending all my time arguing with someone who took the controller from me, mashed the buttons and then told me to "hold down" to attack. Hold down what?? (it's ZL, fyi, but they couldn't tell me that.)

Bizarre #PAXAus experience playing Pokemon Z-A, where the attendant couldn't tell me any of the controls (or answer "how do I attack"), then repeatedly directed me towards an unwinnable fight. Eventually someone else helped me, so I got a few minutes of actual gameplay in before the demo timed out.

While I’ve since seen SPEED a number of times theatrically, my first time was at home when it premiered on HBO in May of 1995 and nothing could’ve primed me better for it than the old HBO First Look featurette hosted by Dennis Hopper himself.

hear me out: what if instead of this, we turned NYT _Connections_ into a US gameshow.

you could even make it so that a few of the rounds expanded the way things could be connected - what comes fourth in a sequence, that sort of thing. Add a buzzer round at the end to keep things exciting.
