And while it is true that the Holocaust was envisioned to be part of an even wider campaign of enslavement and extermination in Eastern Europe (Generalplan Ost) that would’ve dwarfed the Holocaust in scale, when it became clear the whole plan wasn’t going to happen Jews very much became the priority
