CHOTINER: So you say you don't really know who I am?

ME: That's right.

CHOTINER: So then why are you writing a post riffing on this format?

ME: Great question honestly.

CHOTINER: Thanks. [hits blunt]

getting urinated on would be a less humiliating way to lose a rap battle
Over the course of 16 days, the two artists released eight so-called “diss tracks,” with increasingly heated rhetoric, loaded accusations, and violent imagery. The penultimate song of this feud, “Not Like Us”
by Kendrick Lamar, dealt the metaphorical killing blow. The song contains lyrics explicitly accusing Drake of being a pedophile, set to a catchy beat and propulsive bassline. “Not Like Us” went on to become a cultural sensation, achieving immense commercial success and critical acclaim.

ME: Now Mom, just remember, there's a lot of disinformation and AI in your social feed and your friends' Facebook.
MOM: I know! My friend sent me this crazy post where someone used AI to make an image of a giant frog fighting Army troops!
ME: ... okay, no, that one's ... goddamit, Portland.

The first time my dad went to Chicago in winter for work, he texted us "I understand now why people wear winter coats that go down to their ankles"

I feel like if the Texas national guard is still in Chicago come December, the problem will sort itself out much like it did for Napoleon and Hitler in Russia

You'd think someone from Buffalo of all places would understand and nonsensical first half, a brief hope at intermission/halftime, only to be utterly let down by the second half and leave early

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

I can't believe I get to be smug about not being a bandwagon Blue Jays fan AND a bandwagon Bills fan at the same time. What a time to be alive

He lives outside of London so I was like "do you have bad parts of London you don't go to but the rest is fine?" He was like "oh absolutely" and I said "same with every American city, including Philly"

He couldn't even place it on a map (he was literally in the process of asking me to point out where some of our coworkers live cause he had no concept). I also trust he has no idea of the implications behind the word ghetto

I think frequently about how I did not realize how far-right propaganda about the US crosses oceans until my British boss, while asking me about American geography, asked me out of the blue "why is Philadelphia such a ghetto?"

Maybe beginning to feel news coverage that either ignores this sort of blather or balances it with a polite “Some experts disagree with the assessment that Portland is a burned-out hellscape under the rule of Antifa warlords” doesn’t really cut it.

Unfortunately Pinterest is getting overrun by AI (according to my mom who uses it a lot). She had an absolute fail with a recipe from there and we noticed the picture didn't quite match. I reverse image searched and it was a stock image. We think the recipe may have been AI written
