It’s so rough to learn late in life that the people who seemed “cool” growing up were the ones who didn’t care what “cool” was, but simply tried to live as close to who they were as a person without compromising to the criticisms of others. Especially since I spent my entire life trying to hide.

(Spoiler) Going to see American History X. Walk into the theater and the movie is already playing. My date and I figured we were just late. We sit down just in time to see Eddie Furlong walking into a bathroom, then BOOM! Credits roll. Turns out we were early and caught the end of the previous show.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?
Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.
