Very pleased to see that the first media feature pertaining to my forthcoming book is out now with @bigissue.com! Thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to talk about why Hitler has had such a "long death": www.bigissue.com/culture/book...
Why has Hitler taken so long to die?
The way that Hitler died is fundamentally unique in the history of 20th century dictators. But does that explain his cultural afterlife?

The Pride flag at the Stonewall Monument is re-raised!

New Yorkers won’t let Donald Trump erase LGBTQ+ history, or trample the rights of our LGBTQ+ neighbors.

My copy of Matt Cook's new book Writing Queer History has just arrived!! I've been looking forward to this book coming out for some time now. It's a shame I am just about to submit my thesis and won't be able to apply it to my current research, but I am excited to see what uses it has in the future

*quickly revises the epilogue to my thesis*
“This is a deliberate act of erasure . . . The Pride Flag is history, resistance, and Pride born at Stonewall itself. Taking it down does not diminish our community. It exposes an administration afraid of visibility and truth."

Last week it felt like the thesis was going to completely overwhelm me. The conclusion was daunting and I couldn't want to finish and get some rest. But as I'm bringing everything together, I'm remembering just how exciting this project is! I feel like I want to go over everything all over again

We're looking to capture experiences of what it means to be queer in the UK today! To do that we're collecting day diaries for 12th February. It doesn't matter what you get up to, or how you record it, we'd love to have it!🧵 (1/4) #LGBTplusHM #lgbthm26
In 1982, inspired by the work of MO the National Lesbian and Gay survey began, it sought to capture what everyday life was like for queer people living in the UK. For our latest open call we're continuing the work of NLGS and asking what does it mean to be queer every day?

What a fun idea! My top 5 undergraduate modules (in no absolute order:

1. Study Trip to Berlin
2. Genocide in Europe
3. Living and Dying under the Third Reich
4. Historical Controversies
5. The Cold War at Home: Soviet Society after 1945
1. British Queer History
2. US Special Topics: Voting Rights
3. The History of Architecture (actually an architecture course)
4. The History of Montréal
5. Urban Transportation Geography
My top 5 undergrad classes, in order:

1. Evolution of Animal Behavior
2. Human Genetics
3. Sexology
4. Philosophy of Bioethics
5. Evolution of Sex

Only reason #5 is ranked so low is because of the jarring realization it was all just a bunch of math and statistics (still profoundly interesting)

Finishing the thesis is proving to be an interesting mix of emotions. It is overwhelmingly stress, anxiety, and panic right now. Yet as I put the final touches on the Introduction and Conclusion, I'm able to appreciate the journey that I've taken to get here. It has been wild, but I've enjoyed it
