On top of the raw cruelty and the lack of any reason for this beyond the GOP commitment to allowing every rip-off they can imagine, this is also a decision to make prison *worse* at reforming/rehabilitating people, because we're making it harder for them to stay connected with people outside.

It literally took decades of advocacy to pass these reforms, which would have prevented prison phone and teleconferencing companies from ripping off inmates and their families to the tune of hundreds of millions annually

A few weeks back, I left a laundry bag at a hotel. I was disappointed then, but I wasn't ready for the psychological torture of reaching for certain shirts and not knowing that they were among the casualties

My spouse took classes then later taught at Kennesaw

She had a decent bit of their inaugural team in a class she was teaching and seemed well liked

Cairns change colors their whole lives, so we really do not know what color he'll end up predominantly being. His mom was lighter as a puppy and got darker, his aunt was dark and is blond now

Archie stayed dark but got a bunch of grey around his face, which made it easier to take pictures

Not sure why digital cameras have such a hard time with black furred dogs. Had this problem 21 years ago with our last puppy too and figured it would get better as the cameras improved
