Then it latches on to a crisis moment to double down on the rhetoric to get people on-side.

It seems clear—I think to everyone, now—that a false and illegal invocation of the Insurrection Act is coming before the end of the year. Media outlets should be telling us how they will prepare for this potential Treason. State governments should be telling us. Activists should be developing plans.

It's not enough to report a lie and then quote a political leader on the ground saying it's false.

Start reporting the fucking truth (which you can verify with a reporter on the ground stating what is and is not happening) rather than treating clear, demonstrable facts like they're up for debate.

Stop reporting the President's claims that Portland is "on fire" or Chicago is "a war zone" without clearly saying those are lies that have zero basis in reality.
