It's not like we don't use deci in many other areas either... I mean it's pretty hard not to know what deci should mean in a word.

This isn't a democracy, it's (bad) street theatre.

Mike Johnson: "This hate America rally that they have coming up for October 18? The antifa crowd, the pro-Hamas crowd, and the Marxists, they're all gonna gather on the Mall. It is an outrageous gathering for outrageous purposes ... all this has gotta come to an end."

He didn't lose it though. He was never in the running. He was never going to get it.

He "wanted" it & couldn't bully his way in to getting it; that's different to losing it.

I love that sound track. More than I do most DP stuff. 🤷‍♂️

ICE left David, a 17-year-old boy, stranded on the side of Interstate 20 after pulling over his immigrant father, Hector, in Mississippi.

David began running in the scorching sun after the car and watched as it disappeared from sight—soon headed to a Louisiana ICE prison.

Here's their story.

It's really sad that, despite not getting (or as far as we know even having been considered) it's still all about him. Maria deserves better tbh.

Really living up to the "Kid" part of his stupid name.

Why does he care how people choose to look?

Why is on school campuses?

Europe could, and should be much more bold in investing in clean energy tech.

He once said about his line "I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die" that he was trying to think of the most evil reason to kill someone, and realised it was for no reason at all.

"Eye-catching..." is kinda how much of the West has ended up in this clown car hurtling towards authoritarianism. I think it's time to acknowledge that.

Strong speech from Badenoch. Well delivered. Sharp critique of government. Focussed on politically fertile territory on the economy. Eye catching policy which will get a lot of v positive press attention.

What a ridiculous non-story from Politico.

Banned from calling them burgers (a bit silly in my view, but hardy a big deal), not banned from making, selling or eating them.

Also, it's patently ridiculous to expect a canteen to change their menu just hours after a vote on something.

🙄

Who the hell in America is rubbing books on walls & wondering why their paint doesn't stick?

Or painting themselves with a nice base grey & wondering why they don't understand Shakespeare a little better?

Madness.

A real shame. Now is a critical time for children of all religions and beliefs to learn about one another. Good RE fosters tolerance, empathy, understanding, and helps children discover what they believe, too. Cutting bursaries risks setting us back.

I was just thinking yesterday about how anxiety re: assimilation is weirdly modern; in most large cities (and often in the countryside) for century after century it was considered completely unremarkable to interact with people who would never be expected to know your language or share your religion

Also not mocking the model, but does he really make it look wearable? Not to me.

The fashion industry jumped the shark a long, long time ago imo.
