this is so interesting because I have always had one and my feeling is the opposite - like if I've handwashed something, there's no guarantee the ✨invisible germs✨ are gone, but out of the dishwasher things are CLEAN. even if there's a bit of food stuck on there, meh, it's sterilized 😂
