Taking a break from the sickening tragedy to focus on the beauty for a moment. Rob Reiner achieved something so rare and coveted that artists and entertainers dream of and rarely achieve: cultural permanence. How many times have you made a reference to something going to 11? idk if I have Heated Rivalry oomfs on here, but I’ve seen the next 2 eps & lemme just say they knock it outta the park. I watched Ep 4’s ending with my hand over my mouth. But Ep 5’s ending was one of the most electrifying TV moments of the year! Chills! Man, do they know how to end an episode

Listen I'm not quite OFMD-in-2022 levels of obsessed with Heated Rivalry, but it's the first show in ages that I'm pursuing across all social media, saving gifs to my phone, & needing to talk about with like-minded folks. I kind of forgot how fun the early days of fandom can be.

Why is sex-as-punishment or sex-as-suffering elevated as art, but as soon as you see characters having sex for the pure pleasure of it, it's immediately dismissed? Why do we have so many graphic depictions of sexual assault and sexual trauma and so very few of sexual fulfillment? Rly makes u think
