As I said to a friend some time back, "Covid broke me". Not in terms of my getting Long Covid or such but, rather, because of the destruction of my trust in people in high places as well as the shock of discovering that some people I considered intelligent and were my friends were utter Covidiots.
Eat out to Help Out was killing people, but they “kept it out of the news”.

#pwME Glad I attended the debate in person yesterday. None of the speakers captured the reality of DHSC/NHS 'care' for anyone with #ME in England @tessamunt.bsky.social.
Getting the FDP into shape is the latest version of DIY for ME & #LongCovid ie deliberate hot air from the Minister.

~Started low but increased after 15 months, driven partly by an increase in post-exertional malaise.

Infected: January 2020
One of the most stressful years of my life: 2021
Moderate Long COVID onset: Early 2022
Never recovered, slow but sure progression to moderate/severe.

Big new long-COVID study:
💉 3 doses before infection → provides a sustained protective effect against long COVID + better quality of life for 2 years.
💉 After infection → no impact
Bottom line? Boosters matter.

Of those infected with SARS-CoV-2 infection, 5% had persistently high Long COVID-related symptom burden. An additional 12% had a high burden that fluctuated but did not improve over time.
