@greenparty.org.uk is the one UK party in England and Wales that has policy on #Covid and #LongCovid and recognises the science of #transmission. We realise that more needs to be done. We're working on it.

We're going to discover that pathogens are implicated in way more than we ever believed. It looks like one of the 'wider determinants of health' is prior infection.
Researchers from Guangzhou University reviewed evidence linking viruses to gut cancers.

At least 25% of people with HIV develop cancer, with higher risk across the GI tract.

SARS-CoV-2 may also raise long-term risk, but evidence is still emerging.

Long COVID’s hidden toll: the South Africans still battling fatigue, anxiety and memory loss.

In South Africa, over 4 million COVID cases were confirmed. For many, recovery was only the start; fatigue, poor focus and mood changes now affect work, relationships and quality of life.

Why don't schools have the same duty to kids that employers have to workers under the Health & Safety at Work Act?

#CleanAirEverywhere
#SafeSchools
As a society we also need to think about why it's OK to exclude kids from even the limited protections offered by occupational health and safety rules, even in places like schools where they are forced to be present. Kids should be *more* protected than an adult working in a steel mill, not less.

Some vaccines like COVID and flu don’t stop completely stop infection.

But they do reduce the risk of getting infected and greatly reduce severe illness risk.

They are still worth getting.

Since they are not 100% effective it’s also wise to add another layer of protection by wearing a mask.

We knew from day 1. We knew before this from Sars1. It was also immediately obvious from the patterns of infection. The rest is just dishonest.
The risk from surfaces is less than 1 in 10,000 of catching COVID. We should handwash for many reasons but this alone WILL NOT protect you from COVID. 🧵
Here is Dr Barry Jones explaining that they knew from ‘day 1’ it was airborne and a virus of some consequence. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cpR...

- that the importance of ventilation was clear and known from July 2020 and should have been communicated by all 4 nations from that point.
