I care about stuff and people (and apparently, that's weird or "revolutionary")

Oh. Movies. I talk a lot about movies.
I don't ever tell people to leave their relationship partners but I genuinely am judging you if you're dating someone who tends to go onto the internet and asks questions such as "Where was God during slavery?". I'm not sorry to say that's the ultimate "Hey guys. I'm not too bright" indicator.

I try to be gracious with people on here, but someone just told me to watch some Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire movies and that's one of the funnier things anyone's ever said to me.

Someday someone’s gonna try to remake Big Trouble in Little China and it’s gonna be the worst thing you’ve ever seen.

hate when someone says a movie or show or something is great because it's "about identity". every single thing since goethe at least is about identity. say something substantive

At the risk of turning myself into a social pariah or rather the old man from Up, I'm just gonna start ignoring people who can't greet me without gendering me.

"Sawubona bhuti" 😶

"Sho, bafo" 😶

"Yebo baba" 😶

I'm 35 years old. I don't have to compromise or tolerate shit. Anymore.

Every bad situation that God has gotten me out of has been because:

A. "I see you're having a hard time, my child. Lemme give you a hand"; and

B. "I need to help you out right now because if I don't, you are clearly gonna kill someone"

Laughing at all these idiots betting on the 2026 Super Bowl. The real money is in betting on the 2025 Super Bowl. Guaranteed result = guaranteed profit.

Me, flirting: "A face I'd kill Netanyahu for. I mean I'd still do it anyway but I'd be happy and would do it sooner if you asked me to"

I have a radical idea but maybe just the order they released in.

The 2001 one is optional though.

I think "woke" was at least partly identified with "irritating" and the way we're rectifying that in Woke 2 is by being scary instead

It's wrong that they won't let me live in a 55+ community simply due to my age. They should let you in if you match the "general vibe"

Amber hasn't had a drop of alcohol in 3 weeks so this means the following things are now true:

1. I have all the money in the world

2. The alcohol industry is bankrupt

3. I have a flat stomach; and

4. I just bought a new house.

My worry is that Americans speak about the shit happening in their country as if it's something that will end when the term of the current administration ends. The way these people talk and justify their bullshit, one would need to be naive to think these are people who'll just leave in 3 years

3 real things that happened during my nail appointment yesterday.

1. I was asked if I want all my nails to be the same length

2. She kept on "accidentally" calling me "ma'am"

3. She couldn't look at me for 5 minutes without blushing.

Dunno if she saw a "handsome guy" or a beautiful bearded stud

Hamnet is a great reminder there are pros and cons to marrying a witch. Like it's fun to make out in the woods and cool she can fix your wounds but then you ask how many kids she wants and she says "there will be two kids at my death bed" and you're like "well I wish you hadn't phrased it that way."

Just rewatched Drive.

One of my favourite movies ever.

The cinematic style of it couldn't really appeal to me more.

Big news for A Song of Ice and Fire fans! I spoke to George R. R. Martin and he said he’d finally come up with an ending for Winds of Winter. He explained the ending to me and I gave him my honest feedback that it stinks. He cried for a bit then said he’d maybe try again in 15 years or so

Saw the trailer for Chloe Zhao's "Hamnet" for the first time, today, and a bittersweet look at the current state of everything because there once existed an era where you wouldn't need to even watch the movie but from just looking at it at surface level, you'd know there's your Best Picture winner.

When beloved battle rapper turned Ruff Ryder one hit wonder, Jin, said "Y'all gonna learn Chinese", he was speaking to the imminent rise of American Imperialism in the middle east and the global south and how the only solution is to build allyship with our east Asian counterparts.

Here's one thing that tends to annoy me when it comes to haunted horror:

Your dad died 10 years ago. You saw him take his last breath. You saw his corpse at the funeral. You saw that casket go down. You'll mourned him.

Why are you now losing all reasoning skills because a ghost took his form?
