I have been told my whole life that the school shootings, dead women and people of color, and random shooting sprees were necessary because, in the theoretical future, it would all pay off when a tyrannical government arose and they'd take care of it. We now have objective evidence that was a lie.

I went to a volunteer event packing food for school kids who face food insecurity on the weekends. It's a bunch of older white people who are probably cheering the horrors, but we have a Black pastor who comes and does the morning prayer. Matthew 25:31-46 is fire.
