In 2008, a blogger named Curtis Yarvin called for a future president to kill foreign aid programs as part of a plan to replace democracy with dictatorship.
Now 600,000 people are dead—and 14 million will die by 2030, according to the Lancet. This is the running death toll of tech fascism.

One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

I don't think it's even right to say the voting public doesn't care. I think the truth is a lot of voters may generally find trans identity moderately confusing but also *none of their business*.
on the other hand, they find an obsession with harming trans people - say it with me - deeply weird.

Spanberger’s GOP foe spent 57% of her ad budget on anti-trans attacks. Spanberger focused on the economy. You see what won. trib.al/fkMmsR4
The simple truth told time and time again in the polls: The public doesn’t care about trans issues. Voters care deeply about the economy, inflation, & prices.

Yet another way Trump is screwing working families: this was a FREE tool we set up so folks could file taxes directly, without paying an expensive service. So who does cancelling it benefit? The answer is not working Americans, but it sure is big corporations who profit off them.

I started this thinking (and I really hate to be this person) that I am curious how many animals are killed by human-driven vehicles every year. Genuinely would like to be able to compare.
And then I got to this paragraph and... yea... that's a big problem that should probably be addressed.

They are afraid of Kat because she stands for what most Americans want and believe. That's why they indicted her for protesting outside an ICE facility.
But like you, she is not afraid. There are more of us than there are of them. She is going to win. She is going to make a better future possible.

democrats of all stripes should be rallying around kat abughazaleh asap. it doesnt matter where you stand ideologically. trying to jail dissenters is fundamentally unamerican and 100% fascist. democratic leaders at all levels should be making noise about it. you dont need a poll or focus group.

The indictment charges the protesters committed such unforgivable offenses as “banging on a government vehicle” and “making an ICE agent drive slow.”
Hard to imagine what First Amendment protest rights exist if this is now a crime.

Becoming increasingly clear we’re gonna have to build a parallel infrastructure for all the media we really love. The reason all of this is happening under the color of law is hyperconsolidation, dissent being traded straight up for merger approval, or fear of harassment.

Fascists are just messy and their power struggles always get weird. There are a lot of awful things still happening, but this isn't a distraction.
