Ja visst, styringsrenten er stadig en politisk kampsak
Valgkampen i år viste på nytt at politikerne aktivt bruker renten til å vinne velgere. Desto mer oppsiktsvekkende blir finansminister Vedums uttalelser i 2022 om Stoltenberg som mulig sentralbanksjef.

I den siste episoden av Tax Justice Norges podkast «Pengeland» snakker @andokl.bsky.social, postdoktor ved NMBUs Skatteforsk og jeg om hvordan det er å jobbe med lekkede data som gir innsyn i den hemmelige økonomien i såkalte «skatteparadiser» - hhv. som forsker og journalist.
I 2022 delte vi de første resultatene fra forskningen vår på eiendomsmarkedet i Dubai. Siden den gang har vi jobbet videre med å kvalitetssikre funnene, utnytte nye datakilder og utvide analysene.

The UK govt softened tax reforms on the superrich because of a widely reported “exodus” of millionaires fleeing the UK.

De siste årene har jeg jobbet mye med å håndtere, analysere og forstå lekkede data. Det har ikke alltid vært like lett! Derfor er jeg veldig stolt over gjennomgangen vår av hvordan man kan forske på disse dataene, til det beste for forskningen og de berørte

Over the past few years, several of us have been working with leaked data to study tax evasion & illicit financial flows more generally
I really believe this kind of data can be used to write impactful, policy-relevant research. So we've packaged what we've learned so far to help others do the same
