There would have been justice for the Hillsborough families long ago if the same weight of the British state had been pushed behind investigating SY Police. Instead, we have a government and compliant press going in to bat for racist thugs, whilst justice for Hillsborough stalls on their watch.

I have very strong feelings on the constitutional question, but an exact 50-50 split is objectively the funniest outcome.
New Scottish Independence poll, Survation 8-12 Jan (changes vs 2-5 May):

No ~ 45% (-1)
Yes ~ 45% (+2)
Don't Know ~ 10% (-1)

Excluding Don't Knows (/ vs 2014):
No ~ 50% (-1 / -5)
Yes ~ 50% (+1 / +5)

Finally, it appeared

Sarwar doing his best Trump impression today. “I’ll release the Salmond files” and a nod towards “jail them” to his political opponents. A deeply unserious and utterly desperate man.

When does the point come for Labour progressives when they realise they’re simply in the wrong fucking party?

This is excellent, but would broaden it to the leagues below as well with some sort of sliding scale. Accies were charging £26 in the Championship and Dundee United was £24. Shouldn’t be paying any more than £20 for second tier football.
MOTHERWELL FANS BACK CAMPAIGN FOR A CAP ON TICKET PRICES! ⚽️

Football is meant to be for everyone, but all over our country there are fans being priced out of attending.

I'm calling for a £25 cap on away tickets!💰

Queen’s Park Supporters Association posted this up on Facebook. Supporters bus in the late 1950s at Cochrane Street. Standards of attire that must return to the terraces. Absolutely magic photo.

Over 50% of the vote for pro-Indy parties is a near bullet proof argument. A majority with under half the vote is easy to bat off. Make them argue that over half of voters backing manifestos including a referendum is reasonable and democratic. Put them on more difficult and uncomfortable ground.
NEW: John Swinney has said he will demand for another Scottish independence referendum to be held if the SNP win a majority at Holyrood later this year

I see Rangers are playing Annan tonight. Can anyone recall what happened the last time a side from a lower division visited Ibrox in the Scottish Cup?

Factionalising as literal fascists are leading in the polls. Exhaustingly bad at politics.

Can confirm that going to see The Cribs and doing Thursday night pints does not yield the same results as it did in 2006. Far from it. Very far.

Scottish centrist media types are going to write so many puff pieces about Offord because he passes their weird “appears reasonable” test. Wears a suit, possesses a reasonable vocabulary and makes racism appear cuddlier with a thesaurus, are the three tests for them.

I'll say it again: watching Robert Jenrick do "cunning politics" is like watching a toddler hide behind a cushion.

"Where's Robert gone? THERE HE IS! Oh no! Where is he? THERE HE IS!"

I am genuinely astounded that she kept the whip to begin with, but it’s unthinkable that she keeps it now.
EXC: Labour MSP urged to quit Holyrood immediately over new details of friendship with paedophile.

We can reveal Sean Morton offended again + was jailed last year for having more indecent images of children, but Pam Duncan Glancy continued being a pal.

“In secret”
BREAKING Kemi Badenoch has sacked Robert Jenrick from the shadow cabinet, removed the whip and suspended his party membership.

She says she was "presented with clear, irrefutable evidence that he was plotting in secret to defect" to Reform

Feel like I’m losing my mind with this Maccabi Tel-Aviv thing. A government going in to bat for far right casuals is wild stuff. When they’re not enacting anti-terror legislation for people throwing Dulux around, they’re apologising to racists for the one decision the police have ever gotten right.

There is going to come a point where local government is almost beyond repair. 2% won’t touch the sides after nearly twenty years of cuts. Needs a complete restructure, starting with council tax and more power placed into the hands of local authorities.

This is actually a fantastic looking result if Welsh Labour are able to act normally after the election. Centre left parties would have a comfortable majority over the moonhowlers. The worry is that they follow the idiocy of Scottish Labour and shout about Plaid being the same as Reform.
