Irish Soda bread fresh out of the oven. An Irish friend gave me this recipe and it’s easy and delicious.

A loaf of Irish soda bread sits in a cast iron pan on a cooling rack. There are canisters behind it and you can see the words Sugar on one and Tea on the other. I’m going to enjoy a buttered slice of this with some of that stewed rhubarb I spend days making back in June!

🍽️ 🍜 Made this cake for my love’s birthday today. It’s a rectangle! I baked it in an 8x8 pan, cut it in half, and stacked it. Chocolate cake with peanut buttercream frosting.

We have picked & stored. Saved seeds. Pea pods empty, beans topped & tailed. We have cleaned out the ash from the last fire & the chimney is swept. Summer clothes put away & socks on feet. We have taken pictures of flowers & filled books with autumn leaves. We are ready.
