Two years since this absolute dude left the planet. Your girl's doing okay Mr L, but lord above, "like the deserts miss the rain" doesn't even *begin* to cover it 🤍
Relatable 🤍
Just ordered a seed catalog* because holding a seed catalog in my hands is a hopeful fucking thing.

If you’re enjoying the amazing autumnal vibes (pumpkin spice, beautiful changing leaves, cosy cashmere sweaters, etc), check out UK indie rockers The Fall, who adored this time of year so much, they named themselves after it!

Fifty-six & a half hours between landing in Cork & taking off again. Five gigs, 14 musicians, 2 exhibitions, 2 restaurants, a brief shopping interlude, 2 long lies, 40,000 step count & a *banging* club nite. Don't believe them when they say you need to slow down in your sixties 💪

Saw Mary sing this one today, from the front row of a 50-seat Cork pub back room. Christ, it'd tear your feckin heart out, so it would 💔

My final musical experience in Cork was to listen to this lady, accompanied by one of the tightest jazz/blues trios I've ever heard, singing La Vie En Rose & Burt Bacharach's The Look of Love translated into Irish by contemporary poets 🇮🇪

Cork musical adventures, continued. Check this lot out. Saw them yesterday in a venue not much bigger than my living room 💥

I realise I have very little emotional resilience these days, but I didn't expect that *every* goddam gig I went to in Cork would make me cry, including an utterly ✨️stellar✨️ performance of Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time. It's not all fiddle-dee-dee, y'know

There is, by the way, nothing finer to do, after a good night of sensational live music in Cork, than to scoff a huge plate of Irish stew bought from the English Market, earlier on. With an equally huge glass of Malbec. Just so you know, so 🇮🇪

I've seen a lot of incredible gigs this year. But none as good as this lady's, in Cork tonight, in the back room of a noisy pub. It spoke to me, what can I say ✨️ 🤍

At the airport (again) and ALL the outlets are playing #Wham. I've never been able to hear the chorus line as anything other than "give it to someone spatial" which puts a slightly different slant on it imho 🎄

LOVING the replies here 👇 🤣
Don’t worry about it if you make a mistake when playing live music. Just stop, apologize to the audience in a sincere way, and start the show again from the beginning.
