Got new Vintaglo holiday lights that @techconnectify.bsky.social recommended last year. They’re a next gen version than I preordered, cool they just upgraded the order! www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSFN...

I knew better than to ask my wife if she wanted to keep the twist ties because of course she does.

The engineering excuse that traffic posts need to be breakaway no long has justification because in the decades since car safety engineering is soooo improved with airbags, seat belts, new brake tech, advanced driver assist systems…

The old reasons are archaic.

Traffic signs should be on bollards.
Drivers: "Speeding 10mph over the speed limit is ok as long as I'm doing it at 11pm and I'm not targeting pedestrians"
Also drivers: runs over the stop sign at my kids’ bus stop.

🤔I had a college football teammate that would often drink to excess, then pass out and wet himself. He did not make good choices.

One thing I never saw him do though, is wake up, notice that he was wet, complain that someone had urinated on him, and demand that someone else exchange pants with him.

In a car dealer waiting room while car has part fixed.

Others arrived and are openly doing FaceTime. On their phone.

I mean. I don’t want to hear the other side closing cabinet doors and kids in the background.

Is this a new social contract that our daily life be shared in public?

Walked through the kitchen and caught my spouse leaning into the dishwasher, hands on a set of bowls.

Paused just like that. Frozen 10+ seconds, staring down. Okay weird.

Then she resumed moving again picking up the bowls to shelve them.
