I had to replace 9 studs, but I’ve got the winter tires on and new break pads installed! Bring it on winter!
Since our first snowstorm is coming I should probably get the studded tires on. ❄️🚲

"Many well-studied changes show that thoughtful street design is key to reversing course. Narrower lanes that slow traffic, adding curb extensions to increase pedestrian access & visibility, & physically separating bike lanes from car traffic are a few examples."

A reminder that cars aren’t a technology problem. They’re a geometry problem.
Waymo privatized another public street:

Chanel approaching 4th, San Francisco

Possibly queued for a Billie Eilish show at Chase Center ~half mile away.

The light rail train on 4th seen passing in front of this roboherd has more passenger capacity than all of them combined.

Drivers: "Speeding 10mph over the speed limit is ok as long as I'm doing it at 11pm and I'm not targeting pedestrians"

Appearing on the @copenhagenizers.bsky.social Index is an important milestone for Minneapolis! We've come a very long way *AND* we've got a lot more work to do.

The good news is that steadily we're making it happen. Culture and infrastructure don't happen overnight. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOYM...

Drivers get unbelievably defensive when you point out unsafe driving. The mental gymnastics are something else.
Got a letter from MPD for going 10 over past the one on 18th. It's pretty telling there's nothing south of Lake, I drive down there all the time and the drivers are no safer or slower than the north side.
I just went on a bike ride verifying and entering locations of MPD and Hennepin County Sheriff ALPR cameras so DeFlock should be pretty accurate for Minneapolis now deflock.me/map#map=13/4...

"Motorists can become 'desensitized' to stop signs."

I'm pretty damn tired of treating drivers like delicate little flowers who cannot possibly be asked to do basic shit to keep others safe.
At a different intersection, where a driver hit & injured an 11-year-old in a marked crosswalk, and the community wants an all-way stop.

MCDOT says the all-way stop wouldn't be safe because drivers wouldn't stop at the stop sign.🤷
