Big: Wyoming supreme court just struck down abortion ban.

And get this: The reason is a constitutional amendment codifying a right to make health care decisions... passed in 2012 by conservatives who thought it'd screw Obamacare!

Quite the backfire. We explained this lawsuit a few years back:
How Attacks Against Obamacare Turned Into Tools to Protect Abortion Access  - Bolts
Explore our ongoing Bolts series, Abortion Rights in State Constitutions. A decade ago, when conservatives were attacking President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act as government encroachment in hea...

The Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, passed by Congress on November 19 with an overwhelming vote. Complying with it was not optional. The Department of Justice did not comply.

I want to make sure this is very clear.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Why wasn't congressional authorization necessary?

RUBIO: It wasn't necessary because this was not an invasion. We didn't occupy a country. This was an arrest operation.

Our Solar System is orbiting the center of our Galaxy at about 220 km/s so in 2025 we collectively traveled something like 7 billion kilometers across the Milky Way. Once in a while, when you have a moment, it’s worthwhile to take a look around, see where you are, and appreciate how far you’ve come.

It is OK to toot your own horn, but not everyone has a horn to toot.

You can help by buying cheap novelty horns at a dollar store and handing them out to people you meet. Especially young children. Their parents will be grateful.

Will no one think of the poor Nazis?
Just thinking... we give so much attention (as we should!) to the victims of state violence, ie, people sent to CECOT.

But, we give little consideration to the psychic violence suffered by those tasked with carrying out the physical violence.

Yes, they "chose" those jobs. But...

I've never thought of astronomy as astrological heresy before, but that's not a bad framing. I also hear believers in astrology defending it, saying that it's the basis of astronomy, and I think, ok, and? That doesn't mean its not utterly wrong.
So,huh…in a sense, astronomy is an astrological heresy? Which actually tracks within the larger vertical ascent mystical structure of the West. Like the orthodoxy got hung up in the charts/2nd hand experience & the radical mystics were all “you have to experience the observations firsthand, broheim”
