A guy at my church works on grants for rural internet but I just checked his agency's website & they've already done the 2026 grants. It really is terrible that the national program was tanked.

There was a survey at work about AI; I took it giving answers about how I don't use it. At the end there was a "tell us how you feel" box. So I did; and encouraged coworkers to do so. Policy came out & it does say "yep, trained on copyrighted works" and to always check that it isn't lying.

I read that one book of his, checked it out from the library so no royalties. I just wanted to see what the big deal is. And wow, it was really terrible; like "how did this get published" terrible. There were plenty of other manuscripts from mediocre white guys, how did this p.o.s. get published?

They have good tea concentrate (when they haven't called it "seasonal" - what the hell is seasonal about tea??) but even if I go right when they open on a weekend morning, it takes an hour. So, it's rare for me to decide it's worth it.

I have a friend who was working on a rural broadband plan. The cancelation was stupid. They could develop low tech solutions, alarms that don't depend on the internet.

They can either figure out a way to keep their customers alive or they can go out of business. People trust them with their children and they whine that it's too expensive to figure out a way for kids not to die in a flood??? Fuck 'em.

Clinton, or whoever is in the files knows they are and has had plenty of time to get their affairs in order. They should just come forward. Put an end to this. Especially if they have pictures.

More & more common for people to say their ability to make money is more important for people's lives. If these camps can't keep children safe, they don't deserve to stay in business.
