We pay too much attention to the most confident voices—and too little attention to the most thoughtful ones.
Conviction is not a sign of credibility. Speaking assertively is not a substitute for reflecting deeply.

Couldn't agree more - we must always start with the problem, otherwise we just end up pouring money into expensive tech which doesn't meet any need or give any benefit.
This article gets things backwards. It starts with the tech and works toward the medical need, reaching a conclusion about otherwise healthy people. How say we start with the need and explore the potential benefit and how it improves. #NHS #wearables

I felt very proud of my colleagues for leading with integrity & speaking their truth. How can we help them as leaders?

I'm looking forward to hearing what people think of this one... Hard to argue against the idea that anyone who endangers patients through misconduct should face consequences, but the devil is in the detail and I'll be interested to see how this will be practically delivered.

Unsurprising to see represented in the data that community and mental health trusts get 70% of the funding that acutes receive for digital. No wonder the pace of change is slow. We need this to change if we are to do anything to address the Darzi report recommendations.

- Community/MH providers get 70% of the funding acutes receive
- electronic records account for about half of the spend

Good question from Keith, personally I think it’s inevitable that AI like ChatGPT will be used by the public to inform their healthcare - just like Google
So we need to get ahead of it by working with people & constantly improving the information.

A question for non-doctors:
AI is making some very impressive progress on tasks like diagnosis, treatment, interpreting radiology and blood reports. As of today, would you feel comfortable using AI to diagnose or treat someone yourselves?
