New blog: Shock & horror the NHS 10yr plan has no delivery chapter!
But national delivery hasn’t been the success we’d want or expect.
Can we take this quagmire of indecision & make an opportunity for change to happen locally with staff, people & communities?

Quagmire of indecision or catalyst for change?
The NHS 10 year plan was published without a delivery chapter. There's no absence of good ideas but the implementation has long been a challenge. Can we create an opportunity to do things differently?

... on advisers who have not always delivered the best advice. I feel like we're memeing a leadership crisis into existence that isn't necessary or desirable. We have a broadly decent human as PM, which given the shitshows in other countries is a blessing we should be counting.

Let’s not forget the promise of the algorithm was to help trained the tsunami of information we have coming at us in the digital age.

Misaligned incentives & algorithm function are linked by not the same thing.

We still need better tools to help manage increasingly more information.

Wrote a blog about the decline of the Green New Deal as a live policy programme, and whether the climate movement has any kind of new agenda ready to replace it.

Why are people annoyed the current government is cleaning up NHS data & removing dead people from waiting lists - and not that previous governments apparently didn't bother?

lots of people, especially on here, are fastened onto the idea that it's just AI bro marketing or whatever to consider it a fixture of the information landscape. it's easy to think that when everyone in your circles is an ethical AI refuser. but I'm afraid it really has been mass adopted.

Interesting to see progress on the implementation of AI into the NHS App for triage.
A trial has been completed and the next phase is expanding to a larger area.

A whole new set of tech tools for healthcare are coming to the public.

These will have massive ripples in healthcare systems like the NHS. Here I share some thoughts and suggestions on what is needed.

One side point that is implied by this essay is even though GenAI is considered to be a error & hallucination factory. It can create a tool for isolating truth claims and assessing if they are true or not.
