So it was all a blatant lie, not even close to the truth, and obviously agenda-driven. Will the exposure of this lie get the same level of publicity, and cause those who spread the lie without fact-checking to reflect on their actions? Highly unlikely, because the lie suited their own agenda.

One of the most miserable things about living in this era is having to watch the stupidest & most arrogant people in the world have to relearn The Why of literally everything good that we collectively do the hard way.

The answer is always ‘Because a bunch of people died, fuckwit.’

Great time this weekend at Bloody barnes, a new crime festival. A wonderful atmosphere, engaged audience, and of course the adorable Magic 😍🐶 The organisers did a great job of looking after us. I didn’t take the Pen and Cob, but it was an honour to be shortlisted. Congratulations to the organisers!

I may delete this because it’s a bit spicy but it shouldn’t be lost on us that games being turned into TV is essentially harvesting the stories written by those who don’t have union representation or healthcare with WGA by those that do. Our stories are good enough for TV but the writers aren’t?

Braving the weather on a trip to London for the Cob & Pen Awards dinner (The Dog Sitter Detective Plays Dead is on the shortlist 🐶🔍) followed by Bloody Barnes , where I’m on a Saturday panel with Martin Edwards and Victoria Dowd. See you there!

"By the end of the two-year period, 94% of participants reported they were housed."

A million pilot programs show the same thing: when people are given enough money to afford housing, homelessness ends.

Other supports matter, but housing comes first. Not policing. Not moralizing. Homes.

I just pledged to help this fantastic project of Emma's. I was there when her song won the Stiles + Drew Prize, and can't wait to see this show fulfil its potential!
greenlit.com/project/unfo... Well - this is scary stuff, but what's the BEST than can happen? Every little helps towards our budget for a two-week rehearsal and workshop leading up to a London industry sharing for www.unfoldingthemusical.com xx Your shares and comments keep this alive. Thank you!🎇

RE that RT.. it’s wild how steam reviews are still so damn important to getting visibility. If you play and like indie games, the most generous and helpful thing you can do is spend an hour popping positive reviews onto anything you like with <500 or so reviews.

I literally get 10-20 LLM-generated scam emails every day, now. It's absolutely out of control, but thankfully they're (so far!) still so obviously fake that it's easy to spot and delete them quickly.
Latest anti-writer scam is a fake Goodreads Reading Challenge, using a gmail rather than a goodreads domain email. At this point any genuine contact is going to get lost in the torrent of spam. AI semi-targeted mass messaging is the parasite that kills the host.

Lovely lunch in Ilkley today with (about half of) the Pennine Poisoners crime writers group. It's a solitary profession, so there's nothing like getting together with friends for a good chinwag 😉 Excuse my off-kilter selfie (lack of) skills
