I was actually thinking less broadly than it may appear.

MLK was first and foremost a Baptist preacher. Prayed at a Billy Graham crusade. A follower of Christ if there ever was one.

But now, white Jesus everywhere.

Over 95% of Haitians in USA are Christians.

And MLK the pastor whited away.

I hope Bluesky continues to grow, and not just numbers wise.

Twitter began as "social texting" when texts had protocol-based length limits. Under Musk, now both pointless and disgusting.

FB more natural - but also now a cesspool.

A more immediate issue. Apparently, the House CR violates Senate rules. Once 60 votes, CR must be amended.

That is, Gov can't reopen until the House is back in session.

But when the House returns, the GOP will have to stop pretending they don't know what everyone knows already.

A GOP catch-22

Nobody expects the GOP to represent the DEMs 200M constituents, but everyone expects the GOP to allow those 200M to be represented.

Right now, those 200M with no voice.

That is, Gov can't reopen until the House is back in session.

Is the House back in session?

That's the DEMs' message.

Day 9 of the Republican shutdown, and there's been no call by House Republicans to come back to Washington and negotiate.

Very correct. Research is extremely elusive. Must go where it takes you.

Forcing an outcome is impossible.

Bode's law predicted separations of planets. Major research focus!

Until Neptune. Then Pluto. Then Kuiper belt.

Can't force it true! Can't square the circle!

After a year of data analysis and modeling, we know how to fix healthcare. Everyone will like the fix.

Unfortunately not the time to tell it. The forces keeping it broken are still in charge.

For example, one of the biggest contributors to rural health decline is only increasing - Gerrymandering.
