Old Jake Tapper… said sleeping at work is A-Ok… for Trump.

How bout that?

Rand Paul asking for the thing we need most, for the American people to see what the Trump admin is doing to innocent people minding their own business.

I can't stand the guy, but on this issue he is one of the better electeds.
Rand Paul tells me that he wants the full video of the Venezuelan boat strike released.

“And I think if the public sees images of people clinging to boat debris and being blown up, I think that there is a chance that finally, the public will get interested enough in this to stop this.”

Absolute malpractice here to describe destroying decades of established science and positive health policy as an “overhaul.” His work will literally kill people that should not have to die.
A New York Times examination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s tenure as health secretary shows how he has laid the groundwork to overhaul American vaccine policy, walled himself off from government scientists and elevated longtime allies to help carry out his agenda. trib.al/3MsBal8

The Epstein case is not an issue about Trump and the US but rather about all the Trumps of the Western world with ties to Russia

Trump's white nationalist aides are churning out vile videos glorifying migrant suffering. But Trump-MAGA are *losing* the online culture wars over deportations, because the humane side is info-warring better.

I wrote a book about opioid overdose victims in Ohio and Kentucky.

The doctor who prescribed the pills from a cash-only pain clinic was American; so was the clinic owner. The pharmacists who filled the scripts were American. And the pills were distributed by American companies.
Batya might be just fine with a dudetrustme basis for a terrorist designation, but Americans with a functioning moral compass actually expect a plausible public rationale for who is to be treated as a terrorist in our name.

Cassidy makes it sound like it isn't HIS fault that this is happening. He knew what RFK Jr. was and he was fine with that because it stuck it to the dems by having a Kennedy on Trump's side. Fuck this man.
Chairman of Senate’s health committee with his sharpest words yet as CDC’s vaccine advisers meeting gets underway.

The question is what does Cassidy do now, beyond issue rebukes.

Great thread. I'll add: Bidenomics often emphasized dignity of work/importance of being able to remain in communities of birth. It's no accident this was paired w/major investments in areas Trump said were abandoned by elites. Complicates Douthat's story about liberalism.
As @gregsargent.bsky.social points out this gets quite a bit wrong. It falls victim to what Matt Sleat descrbes as the misrepresentation of liberalism that pervades a lot of post-liberal takes. They assimilate all versions of liberalism together and ignore the more egalitarian strands...
Contra Ross Douthat here, a foundational idea of Bidenomics was that Trumpist authoritarianism was partly fueled by legit grievances over neoliberalism. This heavily shaped their industrial policies. As always, Ross erases the last half century of lib egalitarian theory from his diagnosis. So odd.

Can't stand Rand Paul but he is(and has been) going after Pete the drunk and I hope after they saw the TN results, more GOPers will start attacking the unlawfulness of this admin.
Rand Paul: "Secretary Hegseth said he had no knowledge of this and it did not happen. It was fake news. It didn't happen. And then the next day, from the podium of the WH, they're saying it did happen. So either he was lying to us on Sunday or he's incompetent and didn't know what had happened."
December 3, 2025 at 1:18 PM
How do they not just explode from the amount of lying they do about that demented man in the WH?
Sen. Roger Marshall on Trump's health: "I'll work 110 hours a week. He outworks me. He's the first person I've ever known that works harder than I do. He runs around that golf course. He's in incredible shape right now. And you talk about sharp! He's playing 4 dimensional chess"

Why aren't WH reporters demanding to know what the fuck has him so busy he hasn't seen a TV news show or read a thing online or had anyone bring him any info at all.

This man does nothing and knows nothing and MSM doesn't give a damn.
RAJU: If defenseless survivors were killed, would that constitute a violation of the laws of war?

MIKE JOHNSON: I'm not going to prejudge any of that. I was pretty busy yesterday. I didn't follow a lot of the news.

I cannot say this enough: this is the most corrupt administration in American history.

Good news for Jersey!!!!
Lots of "it's not really authoritarian" etc takes skip over details like how Trump refuses to let a majority-Republican Senate have a say in who runs several U.S. Attorney's Offices. It's profoundly anti-democratic, and by itself strong evidence of corruption and malfeasance.
