so the white throated dipper male gets one shot- he goes up to his potential mate, has to perform a song that only really top tier healthy birds can handle, and if it sucks, she ditches him. If she likes it, she stays for a year.

We were a bit worried going over that folks might think that because we're Americans we must be Trump supporters. Found that not to be the case, and the few Scots who did want to talk politics despise the prick almost as much as we do! Without a doubt, the most welcoming people we've ever met.
