This (disturbing) article details the failing of official bodies to protect young chicks (apparently "tradition" trumps conservation). There is a link to sign a petition to the Scottish Parliament to stop this vile killing in the article protectthewild.substack.com/p/a-protecte...

A Protected Colony in Decline: Why the Guga Hunt Can No Longer Be Defended
For decades, the killing of gannet chicks, the “Guga hunt”, on Sula Sgeir has been defended as sustainable, harmless, and woven into cultural heritage.

Towering
This tower block caught my eye because of the way it was designed to allow the busy road to run right through it.

No, there is no ceasefire in Gaza
Israel’s bombing of Gaza is not a ‘violation of the ceasefire'. It is a continuing genocide under diplomatic cover.

A back injury bad enough to warrant an A&E MRI scan who then insisted on specialist spinal treatment.
Cracked vertebrae & herniated/bulging discs really stops you doing stuff.

Just told that NHS wait times are so long that the soonest help will be a phone consultation in Feb at the earliest.
OK, going to have trouble paying rent again this month due to back injury.

Would appreciate so much the spreading of my online shop to get some cool orders sent out next week.
All signed.
