Great response, particularly on the Dutch Roundabout at Gardiners Cres junction with Fountainbridge.

The whole design could also benefit with a few additions:

1. Trees: The whole design lacks street greenery. They could be used as filters!
2. Seating.
3. Bollards to protect junction corners.
Edinburgh council are proposing walking & cycling improvements to Dundee St & surrounds

Transformative in enabling families, older, & less-confident people to walk & cycle, as well as reducing car dominance

Be sure to have your say!

Where this scheme is on the busier streets, there still a lot of space given to cars with carriageways that are wider than the minimum (rather than space for pedestrians being taken by bike lanes).

Having minimum widths for vehicles could mean wider pavements and possibly trees (sadly lacking).

Sad to see a local business close.
A popular Edinburgh business has announced they will be closing down in the south of the capital. They thanked their customers and staff for supporting them over the past 12 years.

Linking Juniper Green and Currie, the path between Bloomiehall Park and Muir Wood Road will be paved soon.

Already a desire line - a muddy track already used by locals - paving it will make it much more accessible.

Exactly what 20 minute neighbourhoods need!

“Concerns were raised about the death of Porty”

The same businesses have lived through Brexit, a pandemic, the great resignation, energy price hikes due to war, inflation & a cost of living crises and a national insurance rise.

Is it possible the concerns were a little over stated?
