The whole design could also benefit with a few additions:
1. Trees: The whole design lacks street greenery. They could be used as filters!
2. Seating.
3. Bollards to protect junction corners.
Transformative in enabling families, older, & less-confident people to walk & cycle, as well as reducing car dominance

Having minimum widths for vehicles could mean wider pavements and possibly trees (sadly lacking).

Already a desire line - a muddy track already used by locals - paving it will make it much more accessible.
