So, I've basically watched all the mainline Japanese #Godzilla movies - all 30 of them. So here's my overall ranking of them all. (Alt text for all the names and scores).

And books make AMAZING presents. They're cheap, easy to wrap and give you a chance to show a bit of your personality with the book you choose.
And in 20 years time they'll see that book on their shelf and be reminded of you. You don't get that with socks.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

Went to see SISU 2 ROAD TO REVENGE yesterday. Yes, it's basically just more of the same. But I'm quite happy with that. Why reinvent the wheel when it works so well already?

I watched an old episode of THIS MORNING WITH RICHARD NOT JUDY at lunch today. This was such a great, bizarre show.
Still feels wild that this was broadcast on the BBC at Sunday Lunchtimes. Not sure how they got away with that.

I watched an old episode of THIS MORNING WITH RICHARD NOT JUDY at lunch today. This was such a great, bizarre show.

I know the Matt Damon FeelinOld.gif meme is overused and that when people point out something that happened in the 00s is actually 'old' is itself a tired, old concept.

Went to see the new RUNNING MAN yesterday.
If you've ever thought to yourself "I'd love to see Glen Powell wearing the tiniest towel known to mankind" then oh boy, is this the movie for you.
There are some other brief appearances by great actors that don't get as much screen time as the towel.

Finished the campaign in INDIANA JONES AND THE GREAT CIRCLE yesterday. A genuinely fantastic Indy story. Easily better than all but 2 of the films.
They reveal something at the end that I wish had been a bigger focus in the game, and probably should've been the McGuffin in an actual Indy movie.

Lots of positive comments under this, but I'm not so sure. There's already a connection to JustWatch to find how to rent each film, but bringing in an official Letterboxd route (presumably generating them money too) feels like the route to LB becoming something different.

"Thank Goodness You're Here" on PS+ Extra this month, and it fantastic. I don't think I've seen anything that so affectionately takes the piss. It's a beauty.

"Thank Goodness You're Here" on PS+ Extra this month, and it fantastic. I don't think I've seen anything that so affectionately takes the piss. It's a beauty.
Having to help my daughter with her maths homework, but she's at the age where I don't know what the questions mean.
And by that I mean she's 10 and it's stuff about Prime numbers.

A situation like this, with so many severe charges but thankfully no deaths makes me wonder how differently things could have been in a country with easy access to guns.
Not just that no victims died but that this person is still alive to face a trial. Looking on the positive side, I guess.
