There are no films that take place where I'm from. One scene in 24 hour party people. Last year Daniel Day Lewis next film filmed here for a bit.....we gave them all parking tickets because they were "disrupting local residents" and didn't have the right permits or whatever 💪.

Dad looking after me and my sister, she had a dentist appointment, I'm like 10 and think I can stay on my own, hysterics at being told I have to go.
On the way out of dentists, my middle finger gets trapped in fire door. Finger nail comes off, finger crushed, dad passes out at sight of blood.

Imagine if ICE agents just started going missing. And nobody ever found any bodies. And nobody in the community saw what happened or knew anything about it. And everybody had an alibi.

The reason WHY the media and those in charge are downplaying these protests and acts of resistance is because, unlike brief mass protests, they're more effective. A sustained, multi-pronged approach with multiple key targets is far more strategic & hard to stop. Keep it up, fellow Americans.

Reminder that Ryan backed Owen Smith during the chicken coup and generally opposed Corbyn, the only anti-austerity leader Labour has had since 2008.
I will be interested to see how many left wing pundits without disabilities speak out against the disability cuts. And I’ll be very keen to see which centrist “give Starmer a chance” pundits decide this is a scandal worth criticising.

Sorry everyone: earlier we ran my story about one aspect of the creaking SEND system – noting the cost to councils of transport for SEND pupils by comparing it to road maintenance budgets. People whose view I trust on this said it felt oppositional/confrontational, so it's been re-written.
