One of the stories that makes me the saddest out of this ICE invasion is one out of the Minnesota Star Tribune today about ICE agents eating at a little Mexican restaurant in the small town of Willmar, Minn, —and then, when they were done, arresting some of the workers.

In 2024, Minnesota eliminated prison gerrymandering. A law, signed by Governor Tim Walz, will end the practice of counting incarcerated people where prisons are located, which skews political power within the state.

If anyone was still pretending this isn’t just about excluding trans kids from public life, the Trump administration just opened a Title IX investigation into a Maine school district because a trans student is on a *co-ed* cheerleading squad.

Just another aspect of this operation that shows you it’s about intimidation and not immigration

Just so people outside of MN know - a lot of the US citizens getting “arrested” by ICE never get processed at Whipple. They are roughed up during the arrest and then often dropped off miles from where they were picked up. It means we don’t know the true scale of what ICE is doing based on ICE stats

In case it's useful to someone, I have found it worthwhile when I am late understanding some piece of state violence to recognize that I *am* late, rather than trying to pretend that I always understood it.

We are in fact DESPERATE for winter coats, waterproof gloves, and good boots. We get so many wonderful donations but it is so cold and the numbers of unhoused unsheltered people are going up at the absolute worst time for it, and we run out of coats weekly.

If these monsters were trained, being outnumbered by crowds would be less effective.

As it is, they have absolutely no fucking clue what to do and they are getting run out of every situation they force themselves into.

Dems calling for training are just pushing more, worse violence.
