When they wanted to release the files early this year, they paid $1M in overtime and put 1000 people on it - until they realized what was in the files. Now they’re slow walking the release.

They're not waiting on the Supreme Court to tell them they can ignore the clear, plain text of the 14th Amendment that everyone born in the US is a birthright citizenship. They are trying to erase the citizenship of anyone with skin darker than Stephen Miller's through administrative action alone.

Here is a map of the affected countries (excluding Tonga), to give you a sense of how much this new ban restricts immigration from Africa in particular.

Of the newly-added country, Nigeria faces the largest impact, with tens of thousands of visas issued every year to Nigerians.

I don’t have patience for niceties when it comes to this crap, so if you’re an anti-vaxxer, keep your damn kids at home and don’t travel for the holidays.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

An official government account using the word “remigration” is not normal. It’s an imported term from European far-right movements that refers to mass expulsion. Democracies do not use population-purification language. #holdfast #SteadyState

Lemme see if I can remember from the Biden years what we're supposed to say. Oh yeah: "Watching him sundowning like this, it's clear it's time for him to lay down his burden and get the rest he deserves. How cruel of the people around him to force him to stay in office—it's inhumane." How'd I do?

Also, one thing the country needs is definitely more nurses, so limiting entry is just pointlessly stupid
huh i wonder if this is because like 90% of nurses are women (it’s definitely because of that)
The Trump admin now says nursing isn't a professional degree.

The admin plan to redefine what constitutes a professional degree to exclude nursing and limit access to student loans — outraging national health care groups and leaving nursing students questioning how they'll pay for graduate degrees.

The Trump apologist checklist after Trump or his administration does something awful:

1. Fake news, it didn’t happen.
2. It might’ve happened, but it would be OK if it happened.
3. So it happened, so what.

This is what MAGA doesn't understand about the Rule of Law. It's not simply "following the laws (that we agree with)." It's that laws apply equally to all, whether high or low, rich or poor, R or D, white, black, brown, connected or not, citizen or not, or which administration appointed a judge.
They’re simultaneously arguing that soldiers have to follow all orders from the president, legal or not, but they get to ignore orders from a federal judge if they feel they’re not legal.
