Yes.

And then also fired a ton of senior agents with a ton of counterterrorism experience, including the Acting Director.
Didn’t the FBi pull a lot of personnel from anti terrorism to put them on deportations?

Actually the whole security establishment pivoted

I’m not reposting this to encourage a pile on. I just think this is an excellent example of Bluesky not being an echo chamber.

The reality is a mixed picture. Some studies showed children were much less stressed for example.

Personally, my child does better in F2F classes…
i like how the one example we have of mass scale homeschooling was the pandemic and it was a complete disaster that burnt out every parent on earth and resulted in half a generation being socially and intellectually stunted forever

IT'S NOT ONLY ACA SUBSIDIES AND REPUBLICANS BUT THE HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIES!

"...Nearly 7x as many Americans get health insurance through an employer as those who buy it individually. Those 165M people are expected to see their premiums spike by up to 7%."

At least 7%

The squeeze is on!
Looming affordability crisis set to hit Americans with health insurance through work
It’s a perilous combination for 165 million people with employer-sponsored health insurance. Premiums are rising, while yearly pay raises shrink.

Germany has about 8GW of balcony solar.
That's more than Ireland's entire generating capacity.
Today on Volts: I've had more requests to cover this than almost any other topic in the pod's history, so now, at long last, balcony solar! We dig into how "plug-in solar" took off in Europe & how it's making its way to the US, starting in Utah. Backyard DIY types rejoice!
What's the deal with balcony solar?
Cora Stryker joins me to explain how "plug-in" solar took Europe by storm and is finally, via Utah (?), making its way to America.

precisely my thought. the president and his dumbass republican allies put these men and women into harm’s way for a political stunt and look what has happened
Whether this was random street crime or targeted political violence, I think it was bad for the president to unnecessarily put the National Guard in harm’s way like this. They simply don’t need to be there.

The women drawn to RFK Jr. see an intoxicating cocktail of romance and danger—whether it's getting attacked by a yak or texting about taking metaphorical bullets for each other.

But to most others, Kennedy is a reckless conspiracy theorist whose appetite for danger will result in a sicker America.
The inexplicable sex appeal of RFK Jr.
How can such ferocious desire be attached to this man? Two memoirs by the women who love him offer some clues.

This nails a fundamental problem with our entire society. It's also what made the Gates toilet prize so absurd: the best answers didn't involve breakable, hard-to-replace things.

The best innovations often don't need whiz-bang stuff invented in a lab for profit.
To say that you can build high-performance buildings with straw and earth without needing a laboratory, industry, or Professor XY is not startup enough.
