They have fired the staff of the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report and 70 Epidemic Intelligence Service officers, who are disease detectives that respond to outbreaks around the world.

I cannot emphasize enough how dangerous it is to dismantle our disease surveillance infrastructure.

ICE secretly kidnap autistic boy during bathroom break—never notify parents.

Mother reported him missing a week ago—turns out ICE had him detained the whole time.

He was helping sell fruit and asked to go to the restroom—by the time she was done helping a customer he was gone.

RIFs can’t be done without agency leadership so this is RFK Jr extending his purge of CDC scientists to help Vought’s shutdown agenda. Genuine public health risks created by aggrieved men.

It simply should not be possible for the president to repeatedly claim that a major city is burning without a wall of live standups happening in that city clearly demonstrating that it is not

Finished Turnabout Visitor.

It was… okay. As an introductory case that demonstrates how all the new mechanics work, it was perfectly fine. The case itself was all right, and playing as Edgeworth will be interesting as we’ll get to see him in a different role now.

to be fair to Trump, the White House feed from Portland was accidentally mapped to the yule-log channel on the executive tv remote, hence the confusion

Trump: "Portland, I mean -- every time I look at that place it's burning down. There are fires all over the place. When a store -- there are very few of them left -- but when a store owner rebuilds a store they build it out of plywood. They don't put up storefronts anymore. They just put wood up."

Hey, Maggey Byrde is back! And she’s getting accused of murder again! Geez, Maggey is up there with Maya in how much she gets blamed for murder.

The president says there are very few stores left in Portland, Oregon, and the ones that are left are made of plywood.

I know we’re numb to this, but in any other time he’d have been removed by the 25th Amendment by now

I’m begging someone, anyone, to ask him to show them the videos of Portland burning down that he is seeing.

Okay, I know Dick Gumshoe’s whole shtick is that he’s kind of a meathead, but he’s not an idiot. And yet, in this first scene he just asked Edgeworth “How do you use Logic?” 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’ve heard… not so good things about this game, but I’m willing to give it a shot. In fact, this game was received so poorly that the sequel never got an official release in America despite its incredibly positive reviews until this remastered collection came out.

All right, going to continue my Ace Attorney journey with Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth. I debated whether to continue with the Apollo Justice trilogy, or play them in actual order of release. I chose the latter, even though they don’t actually cross into each other.

Mike Johnson, one of the great cowards in American history, has cancelled votes again.

A reminder that by law a budget was supposed to have been passed and in place on September 30. There is no Republican budget; no process to create one; and Johnson is preventing Congress from working on one.
