The UK also issued a travel advisory warning people not to come to the US due to risk of arrest.

The U.S. Department of Education does not handle school meals (and Title I funds are not allocated for food, either).

The USDA handles the school lunch program.

So when we hear about cuts over there, alarm bells should be going off in your head.

I had missed this horror
5/ In a stunning announcement, Trump said that no government contracts would go to companies that employ legal firms that represent Democratic causes, a brazen and illegal attempt to cut off legal support for his opposition and lawsuits against him. www.reuters.com/world/us/us-...
US law firm Paul Weiss fired by client over Trump executive order

Re: French scientist denied entry

In today's America, white people don't usually get called terrorists.

And

The odds a stereotypical white nerdy scientist in a button down and khakis getting a "random check" that included searching his phone approaches zero.

Hm.

I hope I'm wrong but doubt it.

Yes, I know that segregation is prevented by other laws. No, that's not the point.
'Segregated facilities' are no longer explicitly banned in federal contracts
The Trump administration cut a clause from federal contracting rules that had been on the books since the 1960s: Companies are no longer explicitly prohibited from having segregated facilities.

So... No long hair on boys/short hair on girls? What decade are these lawmakers living in?
We reported on this a few days ago, but I want to point out this headline because this is where we are at.

A bill in Arkansas would ban gender affirming HAIRCUTS for transgender youth.

HAIRCUTS.

This is a straight up North Korea state sanctioned hairstyle proposed law for youth.
GOP bill could ban hairdressers from giving gender-nonconforming haircuts to minors - LGBTQ Nation
The bill would allow anyone to sue someone who affirms a young person's transition, and it specifically mentions hairstyles.

Minnesota State Sen Eichorn was arrested on charges of soliciting a minor.

Oh, hunh, weird -- same guy who introduced a bill that would allow spot GENITAL CHECKS ON GIRLS 5-18 to make sure they were cisgendered before allowing them to play sports.

We fucking told you.

(The bill did not pass)

I didn't know you could just declare something a weapon of mass destruction.

If you can classify a drug a WMD It seems plausible you can classify a medication a WMD...and the first ones would be mifepristone and/or methotrexate, oncologic uses notwithstanding.

Trans military members may continue to serve.

Fascinating and not something that I had ever considered.
The regime has been slicing through Constitutional protections at every turn- protections that we've taken for granted and that now only seem to hold up if all parties agree to them. This is a take on the 3rd Amendment that I hadn't considered.
