once my son woke me up to ask what a three dimensional hexagon was called. yes, please. ask me about the gay instead.
always so funny to me when people are like “how am I supposed to explain Gay to my kids?” my kid asks me way harder shit all the time. “why did they build the road this way? why are some people bad?” I don’t know. please ask me about Gay

I have had to explain Death to a four year old, while grieving. “Why do they have to mommies?” Is such light work.

i mean it’s both. there’s a real burden on voters to deliver the opposition to power but then there’s a burden on the opposition to use that power appropriately for the task at hand. we are where we are in part because voters delivered them to power in 2020 and they catastrophically flubbed it.
okay but like the burden is literally on us

- Be kind to women and listen to them.
- Men should help out more with domestic duties.
- Fund childcare aggressively.
- Fund maternal and women’s health aggressively.

Governments refuse to address the immense toll structural and societal inequity (that women have long endured) has on EVERYBODY.
Commentary: Singapore’s stalled birthrate reflects a pattern across wealthy Asian economies where higher living standards, shifting values and gender imbalances have made low fertility persistent and resistant to quick policy fixes.
Why Asia can’t undo decades of falling fertility rates
The challenge is shared by most successful nations. Ultralow fertility is a byproduct of rapid development and elevated living standards.

This is a lot....
About the commercials.. Fun facts about Intuit.. They not only own TurboTax but also credit karma and QuickBooks and MailChimp. They also lobbied Congress to kill the IRS free/direct tax filing that Biden set up. So they know your whole financial life and they can spam you about it
I see I'm not alone about the commercials #SuperBowl

“History happened” is now a political statement?
The International Olympic Committee ruled that an image of Toussaint Louverture, born into slavery and and leader of the Haitian Revolution, on Haiti’s uniforms violated Olympic rules barring political symbolism
Haiti's Winter Olympics team shines a positive light even as IOC removes patriot from uniforms
Haiti is making a statement at the Milan Cortina Winter Games with two athletes proudly representing the nation.

It occurs to me that these freaks tend to talk about things in terms of genes instead of love or relationships because if they did frame it in those terms they’d have to confront the fact that a significant number of men refuse to do the work to make themselves lovable
📢 “A huge amount of men between the age of 15 and 50 will not pass on their genes. They will effectively die out of the gene pool ... Should society intervene?” Steven Bartlett asked last year.

By failing to convince even one woman to commit to us we are, according to our own weird “survival of the fittest” mentality, huge losers. Should we change all of society, culture, and laws to force women to be with us?

Every time this comes up I wonder if we're ever going to shift the conversation to why women are avoiding them.

The biggest issue that the "we're the protest masters" BlueSky left has is that what is happening in Minneapolis is not a protest. It is not an effort to seek attention. It is an effort to protect neighbors from being abducted.

I genuinely have no idea how to convey this to the American people, but I think the biggest impediment to any kind of immigration reform is that people are convinced that "legal" and "illegal" are immutable, intrinsic categories instead of a rapidly-shifting arbitrary constellation of regulations.
