i mean it’s both. there’s a real burden on voters to deliver the opposition to power but then there’s a burden on the opposition to use that power appropriately for the task at hand. we are where we are in part because voters delivered them to power in 2020 and they catastrophically flubbed it.

It occurs to me that these freaks tend to talk about things in terms of genes instead of love or relationships because if they did frame it in those terms they’d have to confront the fact that a significant number of men refuse to do the work to make themselves lovable

The biggest issue that the "we're the protest masters" BlueSky left has is that what is happening in Minneapolis is not a protest. It is not an effort to seek attention. It is an effort to protect neighbors from being abducted.

I genuinely have no idea how to convey this to the American people, but I think the biggest impediment to any kind of immigration reform is that people are convinced that "legal" and "illegal" are immutable, intrinsic categories instead of a rapidly-shifting arbitrary constellation of regulations.
