While we spectate on The East Wing being torn down, it isn’t just another hallway, it’s where Eleanor Roosevelt built the modern Office of the First Lady, where WWII bunkers were hidden, and where the public enters the People’s House. Erasing it is rewriting history.

Multi-billionaires do not get the haptic feedback of life needed to sustain normal human brain function.
What an utter #POS #Rubio is.
Exclusive: Secretary of State Marco Rubio promised to betray MS-13 informants in exchange for access to El Salvador’s most notorious prison.

Justice Department officials say Rubio threatened to undercut years of work to secure the cooperation of high-ranking gang members. https://wapo.st/4qgbdg6

A helpful visual in many ways
Scoop: Trump has started demolishing the White House's East Wing facade to build his ballroom. The president had claimed construction of the $250 million building wouldn’t ‘interfere’ with the existing White House structure. /W @ddiamond.bsky.social wapo.st/4hqBNiU

OMG. I love it. T, listen to Chris!
We just got the White House East Wing job. Maybe we should ask for the money up front, T.
I know too much about human nature and its desires to believe AI will ever be used for good. I hope I'm not around for the eventual ending. I think it will be nasty for practically everyone... maybe even everyone.

I keep thinking about the first (? I think) Black Mirror episode with dead oligarchs.
Doesn't placing more and more advanced AI into use exacerbate such problems? Seems to me it does unless extremely strict guardrails control its development and implementation. Agree completely re decentralization
This has been happening since forever. Recalling some women I knew who were incarcerated for trying to make a living (they were selling it) and they were unfortunately pregnant when they went to jail.

don't get me started on those who had to leave kids behind and lost them. FFS
Incarcerated women regularly face poor treatment during their pregnancies, including inadequate nutrition, harmful cavity searches, and delivery while shackled. Prison doulas can be a lifeline for incarcerated pregnant women. But the most important solution is to abolish prison births altogether.

#notpaywalled An intriguing article about housing markets, past and present, in the US. Please note, those who blame boomers for the current housing sitch: All this crap was set into play long before most of us were born (1930s/40s/50s). Don't believe me? Read, FFS.

Column | The cities where home prices have changed the most (and least) over the past 130 years
Did your grandparents and great-grandparents really pay less for their homes than you did, even after inflation? The Department of Data might have the answer.

Practically every man I know or have ever known needs to memorize this, including current partner. First husband gets a pass because A, he's dead, and B, he had this shit down COLD.
Men pro tip...
Be friends with women , be nice to women, everything is not about touching peepees.
Don't expect a perfect woman as you are not perfect.
Listen to her and be her best friend.
Give respect, receive respect.
This is the way...

I remember going to the drive in with three siblings and our parents during this decade. Amusing.
It bears repeating. #gandhi
Can we staple these words to the collar of every dem leader in both houses please? And pass out copies to the rest. I am thinking a tee shirt with these words and a picture of the statue of soldiers at Iwo Jima, or any other symbol of victory over fascism, would sell
“Non-cooperation with evil is as much a duty as is cooperation with good.”

Schumer and all the rest of the Vichy democrats will go down in history, if a free state survives for history to be written, in much the same way as Laval, Pétain, and all those whose cowardice and avorice cost them their nation.

Because:

1- Boomers have muscle memory for protesting...they've been here before

2- Boomers have a lot to lose

3- Boomers have kids and grandkid that they are willing to fight for

Trump posting a video of himself dropping a huge shit on America is probably the most accurate public statement he has ever made.

US gov accounts are here to harass people, quote direct trouble

blocklists interface can be a little counterintuitive if you're unfamiliar with them, because Subscribe understandably sounds like the opposite of what you'd want to do, but that's where the option is to block all. it's what I'm doing🥷🏼
