Jaime Lewis was an amazing DOTI Advisory Board member. Former Mayor of Salida, Colorado, former RTD Director, and Disability Rights Advocate. We are going to miss his voice on the board.
A scuttled road diet for Alameda Avenue has caused discontent within the advisory board for the city’s transportation department — including one resignation, with more possible.

Several advisory board members say they're increasingly concerned about the transportation department’s commitment to safety.

Don't get it twisted. Denver residents voted to pass the bond package not because we like Mayor Mike Johnston, but because we love Denver.

Denver voters are generous and want much-needed improvements to our city.

It was not his comeback — it was voters cleaning up his mess.

This busy school intersection is designated “No Stopping Any Time” for an important reason. Hindering visibility at crosswalks endangers everyone - particularly our most vulnerable road users. We need physical elements to restrict parking and daylight crossings because signs will never be enough.

Denver has eliminated 19 Right of Way Enforcement positions. These positions bring in about 8x the amount of revenue than their compensation. This was a mistake thinking this would help our city budget crisis.

Doing garage sales with a cargo bike is genuinely so much more convenient than a car. Not only is it easier to park and get out, but I genuinely don’t think all these chairs would’ve fit in a car.

Parts of East Colfax, Denver CO are being renovated for new bus lanes. While this will take awhile to complete, it was quite interesting to suddenly see in the ripped up street the remains of the old streetcar tracks that used to run down the center of Colfax, paved over & forgotten in the 1950s.

(Cynically, I don't think Dems or Labour politicians are abandoning trans rights because they think it will win voters. I think their reward is getting to indulge their distaste for a minority who makes them uncomfortable. Claiming it's a winning position is a pretense.)
