The NYT’s Patrick Healy asks a ridiculously both-sides question in which he tars critics as partisans who want the Times to “referee the news.” How about telling readers clearly that Trump is dismantling democracy? You offer the evidence. You’re just afraid to draw the conclusion. 🧵 2/4

Today, let's celebrate a drawn and illuminated crane that functions as a pointing gesture to a new paragraph (in a fourteenth century manuscript). It looks like he is walking into the text, right? #bookhistory

FYI as you head into the holiday season:

Shopify is a Canadian company, but its CEO Tobi Lütke is Maple MAGA in both words & monetary support (under the guise of “free speech” & “open commerce”).
Really beginning to hate Shopify, they are doing a lot to make shopping shittier lately

Look who was out on the Raccoonobahn possibly hunting squirrels this afternoon!!!!
Grey fox running up and down, squirrels all up in the trees chattering away as were the birds. I slowed the first 30secs or so so we could see him/her better. I went out and saw him in person. 😍

Thank you, Kitty-cat. You have correctly identified that I am using my phone for dishwasher repair videos, and you have chosen to sit on the phone while I do not have a free hand.

My inconvenience has been maximized. Well done.

Canada’s beautiful forests are burning down because of fossil fuels.

And the reason Canadians keep doing it is baffling: to increase the profits of U.S. Corporations.

It would be funny if it wasn’t so tragic for the entire planet.
Honestly Canada: your country is burning down - quite literally - because of fossil fuel addiction.

And you’re continuing to expand fossil fuel extraction FOR AMERICA - and who makes the profit? AMERICAN CORPORATIONS.

Holy fuck please just wake the fuck up.
