Words about baseball. Defending everyone breaking the unwritten rules.
If you're only going to read one thing today it needs to be this thread 🧵💔
1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

This is the most beautiful, elaborate, culturally significant set I’ve ever seen at the Super Bowl.

Whoever designed this should be paid a million dollars. #SuperBowl #BadBunny

IDK, man. The Premier League setting some game highlights to Mötley Crüe's "Kickstart My Heart" kinda slapped.

Basically my second favorite commercial so far during the Super Bowl.

To be clear, there are like 8,000 places in the US that have to go before Boston. Especially when we are on the verge of a revolution. Come on now.
See, this is what happens when we normalize the idea of Boston. We get commericals like that Dunkin' thing.

We need to remind people that it is not okay to Boston.

all these ads are geared toward people our age because they think we have all the money but the joke is on them. 8 or 10 guys have all the money.

Many folks are reflecting on Prince’s extraordinary halftime performance, the best ever. What you may not know is that it was a profound, nuanced statement and a powerful reclaiming of a proud musical tradition. Some background: anildash.com/2021/02/05/h...

I feel like the Mets fanbase has this on lock
Are there sports guys on here who adopt the annoying too-savvy doomerism of politics guys? Saying stuff like "You really think there's going to be a second half"
if you see someone posting "I CANT BELIEVE IT, HOLY SHIT" or "THIS IS UN-FUCKING REAL" later this afternoon know with confidence it's either someone watching "the big game" or more evidence of elite wrongdoing uncovered in the unending global pedophile trafficking scandal

I’m here in Minneapolis and in a few groups responding to the attacks - observing, recording, warning but also getting groceries to people in hiding.

The post below doesn’t ring true to me at all. The volunteers are amazing (most do more than I do), and NOBODY is worried about protestor behavior.
Friends in Minneapolis are very worried about this development. Both in terms of state police's role in arresting protestors and the worry that this could set off the kind of spiral of distrust and destruction that followed George Floyd's murder.

Goosebumps here at the arena.

A mesmerizing performance by Matteo Rizzo who will help lead the Italians to an historic bronze medal in the figure skating team event.

Italy had never won a medal in this event. Until now. On home ice. What a moment.

apart from anything else, let us recognize Bad Bunny for his contributions to the field of walk up music, a genre otherwise full to the brim with praise ballads and whatever the hell that "Up Down" song is
