1. Trump should be impeached, convicted and removed asap.

2. Hegseth should be arrested.

3. Congress should make it clear to Vance that if he pardons Hegseth, it will consider it an abuse of power and obstruction of justice and impeachment proceedings will happen.

This story sums up Trump: No need for evidence. No need for laws or treaties. No need for discussions. If Trump decides (based upon whatever random information or maybe just heartburn) that someone is in the wrong, he believes he has the right to kill them.

The US is now a rogue nation.

Will anyone rather should anyone ever trust the U.S. again ?
The worst part about the boat strikes - regardless of who ordered what and besides the ultimate tragedy of lives lost - is they’re forever a stain on the professionalism and dignity of the United States military.

They’re an insult to every American who ever sacrificed to do the right thing.

None of the alleged drug boats that were destroyed recently by the US Navy in the Caribbean or Western Pacific had anywhere near enough fuel capacity to have reached the United States.

As others have pointed out, the founders never foresaw a corrupt president (which we have) abusing the pardon power to absolve all criminals and miscreants for any reason, nor did our Daffy Duck Supreme Court ever think it might not be a good idea to put said president above the law.
