know your rights.

memorize this. and/or keep it handy in a photo on your phone. or on a piece of paper in your wallet.

If you’re protesting this weekend, know your rights.
Black graphic with text
“You don't need a permit to protest in response to breaking news and you don't need a permit to march in the streets or along sidewalks, as long as you're not obstructing traffic or access to buildings.
When you are lawfully present in any public space, you have the right to photograph anything in plain view, including federal buildings and the police. If you believe your rights have been violated, when you can, write down everything you remember, get contact information for witnesses, and take photographs of any injuries. If you get stopped by the police, ask if you're free to go. If they say yes, calmly walk away.If you get arrested, you have a right to ask why. Otherwise, say you wish to remain silent and ask for a lawyer immediately. Don't sign, say or agree to anything without a lawyer present. If you get stopped by a member of the military or any law enforcement office at a protest, you have the right to remain silent or to tell them that you’ll only answer questions in the presence of an attorney — no matter your citizenship or immigration status.”

i really like this idea.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

learn what propaganda is.

recognize how hard it is to dislodge the lies of propaganda, big & small, from the minds of the people who are predisposed to want to believe them to support their world view.

prepare to fight the very hard fight to re-establish the truth.
kristinekenyon.bsky.social
Bondi is lying but it’s worse than that: she’s blurring the line between fact and fiction for the GOP base. If nothing is true, no one can be held accountable. Keep speaking the truth.
The Nine Principles of Propaganda
1. LIE BIG Big lies work better than small because the masses won't believe that anyone would lie "about that."
2. FOCUS Don't make it complicated, ignore history, keep it simple for simple minds.
3. REPEAT People cannot tell the difference between facts and
familiarity. If they hear the same words repeated enough, they become true in their minds.
4. BLAME Never credit the other side, always blame, debase, defame, and dehumanize.
nere by dennis prestosk
5. PROVOKE Outrage, fear, and resentment are more powertul than reason, logic, or facts.
6. CRISIS Issues must be lite or death, good vs evil, love vs hate, us vs them.
Urgency defeats objection.
7. EMOTION A person might question facts, but they will never question their own feelings. Go emotional.
8. PANDER Ignore reasonable arguments, demonize all who disagree as having bad intentions.
9. NO LIMITS Morality is for losers. The victor's morality will not be questioned. No limits.

in the running for the most obscene amongst the tens of thousands of obscene lies this administration has tried to weapons in its propaganda …

lies?
- the shooter was a trump followers
- all targets were democrats
- he was not "antifa"
- "anitifa" is not wrecking havoc on the streets of our cities

Bondi: "We've been living through a horrific cycle of political violence in this country ... night after night antifa wrecks havoc on the streets of our cities. In Minnesota, a gunman murdered a state lawmaker and her husband."

cruelty is & always has been a central tenet … both for the people demonizing "illegal immigrants" and the individuals who are recruited to sign up & brutalize them.

even with my lack of incredulity at what this administration seems capable of, ICE funding the next few years is truly jaw-dropping.
motherjones.com
When it comes to Trump’s immigration policy, cruelty has always been the point, but anti-immigrant animus is now being paired with unprecedented funding, manpower, and technology.

The new immigration dragnet is everywhere, rife with conflicts, and it’s only just begun.

AI companies are spending billions on deals with each other, which boost their value.

This has helped twenty billionaires tied to AI add $450B to their fortunes in 2025.

Meanwhile, an MIT study found that 95% of companies using AI haven't seen returns on investment.

Be warned.

if large populations don't get a handle on the mostly deliberately started dora's of misinformation, then, as in this case, the first lie becomes the truth, and then some large segment of the population never believes the actual truth.

Network television is the perfect target for Trump. He knows it matters because it made him rich and famous, and also because TV news still carries information to a lot of people who aren’t news junkies.
Nice little TV network you got there
