East Germantown is a small townsite on the eastern outskirts of Cambridge City, not that Cambridge City is some bustling metropolis, but still. East Germantown kind of got renamed Pershing during WWI, but only kind of. The Post Office changed names, but not the municipality. A true oddball.

amen, amen, in a time of perverse and wicked nationalisms, let the reader understand:

if God by God’s own self does not compel our obedience by force, and our very own experience of our own freedom of conscience shows God does not, then neither can any group compel our obedience on God’s behalf.
it's a long way off but inside it
there are quite different things going on:

the only 'car personality youtuber' (rather than people that work on cars like MCM, Tony Angelo, some of the ex-Hoonigan guys, etc) I watch is Aging Wheels because when he shows off random cheapo EVs they are actual garbage he bought himself
Pesky Verge ethics policy strikes again in this killer @andyjayhawk.bsky.social piece looking into car YouTube’s obsession with Chinese EVs and the company organizing the access and junkets. Comments from DeMuro, TFL, OmarDrives, and more -> www.theverge.com/transportati...

@ready4preddy.bsky.social I have a Spanish degree, and while my ability to speak it is ruined by having 1 lived in Italy & 2 rarely using it since college, the way we learn Spanish at least here is like if English learners learned exclusively UK written English & literature but US TV pronunciation

this lines up pretty well with my "there are 2 and a half great star wars movies" theorem
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”
