Happy birthday, Jonathan Swift. The great satirist was also Dean of the Anglican St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin. He had wheels installed on his pulpit in order to be moved directly over any parishioner who fell asleep during one of Swift’s hours-long sermons.

One sign that your brain is super good is when your doctors keep giving you cognitive tests
Reporter: Governor Walz called for the release of your MRI results

Trump: They were perfect like my phone call where I got impeached.

Reporter: Can you tell us what they were looking at?

Trump: I have no idea. It was just an MRI. It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and aced it.

Just a heads up with all the Christmas markets and fairs on at the moment - if you see art or art-based pieces for sale, ask who the artist is, because the amount of people deceptively slapping "made locally" on pieces locally farted out by their computer and a genAI prompt is getting depressing

I think it's basically a bad idea to conflate Herzog and the logic of naming a park for him with the present actions of a specific Israeli government. While all public spaces and names/statues are contested and contestable, they can also be–as I think in this case–act as one of a few signs to a

My tuppence worth, if it's worth tuppence any more, is that actually it is a bad idea to re/dename Herzog Park. There are very few signs of Ireland's Jewish history. As someone who has been involved for years in trying to get a blue plaque up to the Waterford community–something that's on pause–
