I should update this, that yes there were people playing Fox Hollow that afternoon. And every day this week so far too.

Gotta love TPC Fox Hollow. 🏌️⛳
"Time to dust off the clubs folks; how’s Fox Hollow looking?"

Funny enough, I figure there is a good chance I see folks playing on it today as I ride home.

Coming back to this in the afternoon, I'm so grumpy we didn't get this project. Even if reality turned out to be half the renderings it would have been great. Cool activated laneways, little store fronts, brick!. Chinatown needs unique density like this.
This is what was fought against on 3rd Ave and 1st Street to keep a parking lot.

NEW: The City of Calgary is opening public engagement on the proposed downtown alignment for the Green Line LRT.

The proposal calls for an elevated LRT line from the Event Centre down 10 Ave S and running up 2nd St SW.

That sad realization that so many of your neighbours see your community only through the windshield of their vehicle. They'd be much happier if they walked or biked around it every now and then (or become radicalized lol). #yycbike

Not kidding about those salty icebergs on the west end of the track, but pretty manageable. Thankfully, the +10 chinook weather should finish the job over the next couple of days.

Really well designed this new Sunnyside cycletrack… will become a good alternative for the N Bow MUP #yycbike

Wow. First WestJet gives us YYC-GRU, and now we are getting Etihad serving YYC-Abu Dhabi 4x weekly starting in November. Did not see that coming. #avgeek

We're getting a new Fairmont Hotel at a "premier location within Calgary’s Greater Downtown" around 2031. Mixed use too by the description.

Microsoft crapping the bed right now? Down Detector seems to indicate the same for the Outlook issues I'm having right now.

Anyone know what may be up around St. Francis High School? Apparently they've locked down as a precautionary measure for something not in the school.

Apropos of nothing, a pic of me after my 12km bike commute at -24 Celsius in Calgary in December of 2022. Last year I hit -34 for my coldest commute ever.

I choose to believe the For All Mankind universe and The Expanse universe are the same.
For All Mankind is great because as it has gotten dumber and worse, as a TV show, it has also started exploring some of the most interesting science fiction ideas on TV. It's like gas leak The Expanse. I love it very much.
My god, look at Joel Kinnaman's old man makeup for the upcoming fifth season of For All Mankind:

They're redoing the swirly ramp side of the overpass over memorial and adding a bridge to St Patrick's Island. Enmax will have to move a bunch of their stuff first, I think, but I think it'll be closing & reopening a bunch for the next while.

FYI we will still be meeting at containR for now, despite the site getting ready for construction (bye containers!) but our meeting spot will be changing this year to another spot nearby. So keep your eyes peeled in the coming months!

As of yesterday afternoon this section is open again. Two excavations adjacent to the pathway, but they are fenced off. Might still be touch and go. Rode it again this morning. #yycbike

Heads up #yycBike, looks like temporary berms have closed off this section of pathway. Not indicated on pathway map officially.

I’m guessing it’s to protect Parkdale Blvd from flooding if the water main breaks.
