As a US citizen with 1st amendment rights, I might get a lot of government attention if I hint at harm to federal officials. But the president can do it from a bully pulpit and that’s cool? (It’s not by the way. It’s not cool). Whatever spying apparatus is reading this post, apply to P0TU5 kthxbye

It doesn't. It hasn't in film, TV or video games for decades (it never had it in video games) and on the literary side of things it's had a real glow-up in this century. Science fiction (and even more, fantasy) is absolutely mainstream culture now.
Why does science fiction still have a stigma on it? It often reflects real world issues, which you would think the literary world would be all over.
