No better way to show our 💙for MN than a blizzard rally outside @schumer.senate.gov (7th day in a row!) We are so thankful that ni Dems are voting for DHS$, but we also know that this is just a 1st step in stopping ICE terror! Hold the Line, Chuck!

But it does make the need for new Party leadership clearer than ever. Our full statement:

At Malliotakis Monday in BK, we weren't surprised to see a larger-than-usual crowd join a vigil for MN & ICE accountability. Even as some Republicans concede that ICE is going too far, she has stuck to her falsehoods. Demand better from her!

House Democrats must vote ‘no’ on DHS funding tomorrow. Our country is in the middle of a five alarm fire, and we must act like it.

While ICE agents are killing Americans in the street and using five year old children as bait, we should not give that agency another dime.

Even as some Republicans concede that ICE is going too far, Rep. Malliotakis has stuck to her falsehoods. Facts show ICE isn't pursuing criminals—ICE is criminal. NYC deserves better. Call and demand it.

Out with @bkindivisible.bsky.social at Rep Malliotakis' Brooklyn office, because she literally wants ICE to do to NYC what they did to Minneapolis.

There's no excuse for this trump sycophant, she's gotta go — and the community is organized. ✊

Today’s Senate vote is an important first step toward unifying Democrats against the escalating violence carried out by ICE and Border Patrol in our communities. Republicans don’t have the votes to jam through this toxic DHS bill.
Senate fails to advance spending bills as Democrats push for DHS reforms
Senators blocked a package of six spending bills that includes funding for the Department of Homeland Security as Democrats continue to push for reforms to immigration enforcement.

This would be a MAJOR win for Dems. Getting them to separate DHS out of the six-bill funding package means a shutdown wouldn’t risk Head Start, SSI payments, Section 8, NIH, etc. Four days ago, I doubt this would have worked. But with republicans’ backs against the wall, it seems within reach.
Latest intel: The 5 govt funding bills will pass, & the 6th, the DHS bill, will get a continuing resolution to buy time to negotiate whatever these conditions in ICE are. The fight right now btwn Schumer & the White House is how long that CR will be. The WH wants 3 months; Schumer wants 1-2 weeks.
